Spring is Almost Here!
Spring is closely upon us, and for many people, that means Spring Cleaning! The nicer weather gives us more energy to spend time with family, be outside and accomplish our goals. Spring can renew us, both physically and spiritually, so why not “spruce” up the house as well? If the mere thought of this causes you to want to crawl back into bed, here are some helpful tips:
1.) Create a List! Lists are extremely helpful when it comes to Spring Cleaning. They keep you organized, on task, and show you what you’ve accomplished.
2.) Make it a team effort. If other people live in the house (like kids), keep them involved! Make the day fun by doing the work together. Tell stories, crack jokes, and just enjoy spending time together. You’ll be surprised at how quickly the time passes by when the work doesn’t seem like a chore. As an added bonus; afterwards celebrate with a favorite meal and board game.
3.) Don’t Rush. Make sure to keep to your list, and don’t be afraid to adjust or add to it as the day goes on. Also, take frequent breaks! This will help you reassess priorities and help you stay focused mentally.
4.) Lastly, pray to God. Spring Cleaning comes in many forms, but we should also remember that God wants to do some “cleaning” on us as well. Psalms 51:10 says to “create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Behind the Scenes
Colten Parker, from Idaho, recently joined us here at Better Living for our Media Missionary Training Program. Colten is quite talented with art, and brings with him a unique view to how we approach design elements for our upcoming programs. We are excited to continue working him throughout the year. Connecting with God “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” ~ Hebrews 12:2
Looking Forward
Better Living Ministry has been taking some steps of faith these past few months. The students of our recently launched Media Missionary Training Program are moving forward with the design of InFocus. This new series will be targeted for young adults and will tackle everyday issues. This is a big undertaking for us, since we are designing a real set instead of using a virtual one. Of course, none of these projects would be possible without donations from generous people. If you would like to donate, you may do so by clicking here. Your donation will help spread the gospel throughout Canada and around the world. Thank you for your support and prayers!
