Better Living starts media missionary program
In the beginning of 2013, we had the privilege of spending 2 months in Honduras at Vida Internacional.  My wife and I, along with our children, Samuel (10), Sarah (8) and Caleb (4), had a fantastic mission trip experience.

While at Vida Internacional we met 2 student groups. One from the Matteson Mission School in Norway and one from the IBC Mission School at Vida.  I was very inspired by interacting with these students.

Here at Better Living we have decided to launch a one-year media missionary training program.Students will learn how to produce Christian television programs as well as other forms of media.

Students will learn many skills including:

  • Operating a video camera
  • Working with green screen and virtual sets
  • Editing video and creating graphics
  • 3d camera tracking
  • Producing high quality on a small budget
  • Script writing and story board creation
  • Live-to-disk recording
  • Web-based content delivery
  • DVD and Blu-ray authoring

The media internship program is a work-study program.  Students learn how to produce media in a small studio in Quebec, Canada. Students are responsible to cover their room and board, however, there is no charge for tuition.  Students must have a basic knowledge of French or English.  Priority will be given to French-speaking students since most of the programs we produce are in French.  Students who do not speak French will be required to take French classes during the internship program.  Prior experience in media or technology is also a plus.

We are looking for spiritually minded young people between the age of 18-25. Young people who are passionate about serving God and have a keen interest in media ministry.  Please contact us today if you are interested in our media missionary internship.
