For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. Matthew 20.1

In August, Better Living went out to meet and cooperate with labourers in the vineyard.

ASI-Stage

ASI Convention

Between August 5-10, the whole team including the  Atwood and Tremblay families went to the ASI Convention in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was exciting! The days were long and busy starting with morning devotionals at 7am and ending with Exhibits visits at 10:30pm. The students greeted the visitors at our Better Living booth and took portrait pictures. Patrik and Frida were ASI photographs during sessions and seminars, Joel was head greeter and our dear Wayne, vice-president of communications for ASI was running like mad. We met old friends, made new ones. We felt inspired, encouraged and strengthened in our faith by the messages and stories shared by the labourers in the Lord’s vineyard.

ECYC

ECYC 2014 Conference

At the end of August, Wayne with his son, and the students headed for Morrisburg, Ontario, Canada to the ECYC 2014 Conference themed  “Revive Us Again”. The four day live Video Production was an opportunity for the students to practise their acquired skills. Thursday evening’s keynote address by ECYC president George Cho, urged the audience from Ontario, Quebec and maritime provinces to always be ready for Jesus’ second coming. On Sabbath afternoon, we joined the conference participants and went out to knock on doors in the surrounding area and asked the community residents what the local church could help them with. We learned and improved our technical skills and we also received a spiritual blessing from the messages and the outreach activity. We also made new friends and contacts from the young labourers of the ‘Eastern Canada Vineyard’.

’Conviction’’ Production Begins

Just as planned, we started our first english episodes of our new video production called ‘’Conviction’’, a television serie of discussions designed to equip and help young adults establish and maintain their convictions in Christ.

Media Missionary Program

In August, James left to go back to the US to find work. Providentially, a new student missionary arrived. Herbert from Washington DC, joined the student program.

In Luke 10:2 Jesus said to the seventy apostles: ‘’The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.’’ Are you labouring in His Vineyard? Would you like to participate to the harvest? Wait no more and find a place in His field and get involved. Pray the Lord of the harvest to give you a  desire to labour for him and the grace to be faithful in your area. Remember us as we seek more student missionaries for our 2015 Media Missionary program. If you would like come as a volunteer, or support a student missionary or give to our ministry please let us know and contact us at anytime.
