In Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics
The Better Living team was in Vancouver for outreach during the 2010 Winter Olympics. Better Living team members Roland Scalliet, Steeven Gouin, Rémi Bergeron, Marianne Lemay and Patrick Dupuis had the opportunity to participate in an outreach event planned and organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the More Than Gold Christian Network. Outreach activities included the distribution of water and hot beverages to tourists and locals who were waiting in line to attend various Olympic venues. In addition, literature, brochures, and pins, all designed for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, were distributed by the 250 young people who participated in the outreach activity.
Workshop
Patrick Dupuis Speaker/Director for Better Living was invited as a workshop presenter for the 2010 Canadian Adventist Youth Summit held at Camp Hope in British Columbia, Canada. Patrick Dupuis was given the opportunity to present “Living the Word”, a workshop designed to help youth meet Jesus Christ through nature and the Bible. 250 young people attended CAYS, and it was a wonderful opportunity forBetter Living to impact young people in a positive way.
Better Living Radio Station
Our latest project is quite ambitious but well on it’s way. Better Living is currently setting up a internet based Christian Radio Station that will broadcast in French 24/7. It will include Christian music, Bible programs, and practical information in the areas of health, family and Christianity.
Rémi Bergeron joins Better Living
Rémi Bergeron is from the Sherbrooke Church. He has recently moved to Victoriaville to lend Better Living a hand. Rémi will coordinate the setting up of the Better Living radio station and will also keep our website up to date.
